What is the WhatsApp Sandbox:

The Unifonic Sandbox for WhatsApp is a virtual testing environment without you worrying about registering your own number. It is a pre-configured WhatsApp channel to enable you to send, receive and respond to messages from the Unifonic Conversation Platform

Step-by-step guide to activate the sandbox channel

Log in to your Unifonic account by navigating to https://cloud.unifonic.com
Navigate to ‘Conversation/WhatsApp Channel’. Here you should create a WhatsApp sandbox channel and use this channel details (like public and secret keys) in an API request.

Click on "ADD NEW" to add new application or if you already have an application created then you may use the same

Name the app and your app should be ready. You may use a single app for different channels or you may create a different app for different channels. Creating an app should give you access to Public and Secret keys, which might be required while making an API request.
Next step is to add the channel inside the app and for that, navigate to the channel tab and click on "ADD NEW"
The available channels should be visible for you. Select WhatsApp Sandbox which is a testing environment from Unifonic for testing Unifonics conversation APIs

Post selecting WhatsApp Sandbox, you should see Unifonic’s test number and templates available under the channel
Next you should add the test numbers you would like to send and receive messages from, when testing.

In addition, you can add webhook URLs to capture the delivery report and keep track of incoming messages from the end customers plus WhatsApp sandbox can be used for testing our Chatbot as well as WhatsApp campaigns.*
