If the client has a local Trade License in the UAE, they can register their sender IDs over the local connection in the UAE per TDRA regulations. Otherwise, they can register the sender name over international connections.

To Activate a new Sender ID in the UAE locally, kindly share the below requirements in an email to [email protected].

The client has to go through the below two phases:

  1. Portal Activation

The client has to activate either the CMS portal (Etisalat portal) or the ESP portal (Du portal) by providing the below requirements:

  1. Local trade license in UAE (One month at least validity period)
  2. Forms for the portal activation

  1. Original copies of the Authorized person's Emirates ID, Passport, and Visa (Authorized Person on the NOC)
  2. Establishment Card or POA/LOA (If the signatory on the NOC letter is different from the owner on the trade license or if more than one partner is mentioned in the trade license)

[UAE - Du: Form B needs to be signed either digitally (verifiable with certificate) or physically scanned directly to PDF in color. Here, the best way will be to get the customer to digitally sign the document – UAE Pass being free and most convenient.
Doctored form B with images pasted and converted to PDF will be rejected as communicated by Du.]

  1. Sender Activation

Once, the ESP/ CMS portal is ready, we proceed with phase 2 which is the sender activation.

  1. The client has to request the sender name in the portal.
  2. When SID is approved, a unique (Blockchain ID) will be assigned to the sender name. Please fill out the Etisalat and Du NOC letters with the required information to proceed further.

  1. Update the Du form with Entity ID in case the ESP portal is the one activated.
  2. Provide us with the BlockChain ID assigned for the sender name.

Notes

  1. Promotional sender IDs must start with AD-
  2. Sender name must be from 3 - 11 characters as maximum for both transactional and promotional SIDs.
  3. URLs in the message content must first be allowlisted. Sending messages with URLs without whitelisting them, may result in delivery failure. Only approved URLs are permitted for each account. Additionally, common public short URL domains such as bit.ly and cutt.ly, etc. will be universally blocked for all users.
  4. For all medical-related sender IDs, we need approval from the UAE Health authorities.
  5. All Real Estate companies, require RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Agency شهادة تسجيل مكتب عقاري) approval documents to register sender IDs.
  6. Visa is not mandatory for GCC citizens.

If the client doesn’t have a local trade license in the UAE, they can register the sender name over international connections:

  1. To Activate a new Sender ID in UAE internationally, kindly share the below requirements in an email to [email protected]
  2. Provide the below requirements:
  • Valid trade license or Commercial Registration (translated to English | English copy).
  • NOC

  • Passport and ID of the signatory.
  • POA/LOA (If the signatory on the NOC letter is different from the owner on the trade license or if more than one partner is mentioned in the trade license).

Note

Only Transactional SIDs are supported. Promotional traffic is not allowed internationally.
