📘

Note

Please note that the character count and number of message units displayed here are estimates. These numbers can be affected by several factors, including:

  • Using special characters: Special characters often take up more space than standard letters and numbers.
  • Including multiple languages: Messages with text in multiple languages may require more characters to represent the same information.
  • Adding trackable links: Trackable links add extra characters to your message and can increase the number of units used.
  • Inserting variables from other sources: Variables like names or locations pulled from files or contacts can also affect the character count and unit consumption.
  1. Once the user is done with adding all the required information in the message content box, scroll down to the bottom of the page to define the destination of each variable from the file’s columns.
  1. From the previous screen, select from which source the system will retrieve the requested information of each added variable, and in case of adding a link, select the source to be Link, then from File, then the column name where is the link to ensure exporting the right links from the uploaded file as shown in the last row.
  2. Once the user is done with adding all the required information in the message content box, click Next to proceed to the next step.

📘

Note

Want to include clickable links in your messages? Unifonic's link tracking service, uLink, helps you with two things:

  • Shortened URLs: uLink creates short and unique links for each contact, making your messages cleaner and more visually appealing.
  • Click Tracking: When a recipient clicks the link, uLink captures the time and location of the click, providing valuable insights into your campaign reports.
